A powerful suite of geometry nodes array tools using intuitive gizmos to streamline the creative workflow

Are you tired of navigating endless modifier menus to create and fine-tune arrays? Meet the Ultimate Array Tool for Blender, a Geometry Nodes-based solution that puts everything you need at your fingertips. With almost all operations powered by intuitive gizmos, you’ll save time and hassle by focusing on creativity instead of searching for the right parameters. Unlock the Full Potential of Geometry Nodes Arrays with Effortless Control.

OVERVIEW

FEATURE WALKTHROUGH

If you've ever had to stack multiple modifiers over and over again, or create any kind of complex array setup in geometry nodes, you know how long it takes to create the node and how frustrating it can be to have to sift through your node spaghetti, or countless sliders in the modifier tab. This collection of node enables you to drag and drop a suite of powerful geometry nodes array tools into your scene, and customize it in the viewport right away. Never lose track of your settings again!

Version 2.0 Overview

Version 2.0 Patch Notes

Version 2.0 update brings a significant overhaul to the base nodes in this toolset, focusing on streamlining the experience, improving user-friendliness, and ensuring consistency in UI/UX.

Updates & Improvements

  • Removed unnecessary features to simplify the UX and make the tools more intuitive
  • Removed random scale and rotation features from nodes where they didn’t make sense
  • Standardized gizmo colors for better visual clarity:
    • Yellow – Primary control
    • Cyan – Secondary control
    • Blue – Toggle
      • Box toggle: Spacing modes
      • Cross toggle: Array modes
    • Green – Global spacing multiplier / multi-axis controls
  • All arrays now share the same modifier menu options for consistency
  • Array nodes separated into individual modifiers for easier drag-and-drop functionality

Updated Toolset

  • Single Axis Array – Toggle to choose the active axis
  • Multi-Axis Array – Toggle to combine multiple axes
  • Grid Array – Toggle for 3D grid mode
  • Step Grid – Toggle for step mode and global spacing multiplier
  • Multi-Tool – A powerful edit-mode-based tool that combines the above four tools into one
  • Radial Array – Toggle between two modes:
    • 2x Radial – Second level of radial arrays with length and spacing controls
    • Radial Step – Adds vertical offset for extra flexibility
  • Curve Array – Classic array along curve tool with spacing, cyclic mode, and curve bevel controls
  • Curve Scatter – A powerful curve-based scatter tool, great for distributing objects or collections. Works well with raycast and includes gizmo controls for spacing, scale, rotation, and translation randomness

Core Features in All Arrays

Each array tool includes:

  • Gizmo Controls
    • Length
    • Spacing
    • Spacing mode toggle (by count or length)
    • Mode toggle
    • Global spacing multiplier
  • Modifier Menu Options
    • Custom object eyedropper
    • Custom collection eyedropper
    • Collection randomization
    • Raycast & raycast object selection

Smart Array Instancing

Array instances switch automatically based on selection, with priority as follows:

  1. Curve Mode → Instances a cube
  2. Mesh Mode → Instances self
  3. Custom Object Mode
  4. Collection Mode
  • If the active array instance is a custom object, instances inherit its scale and rotation
  • If the active instance is a collection, it will automatically offset based on its bounding box—no manual pivot setting required
  • For manual control, use the Collection Pivot node on the desired object

Additional Tools

  • Collection Pivot Node – Add this simple modifier to any object within a collection to set a custom origin for array operations

Notes

  • All modifier values remain editable in the panel menu under the modifier tab
  • To prevent crashes, limitations are in place (e.g., restricting the global scale multiplier to prevent excessive instances)
  • Advanced users can remove these limitations in the Geometry Nodes workspace by adjusting the Group Output settings
